Spent an hour in ArcGIS Pro coaxing a 10 pt italic blue name along the Colorado River, only to have Maplex snap it onto the parallel highway at export so my plate reads “US-50 (River).” Is there a sane setting to honor true curvature without the label abandoning the centerline like a drama queen?
