Tips for effective spatial data storytelling

I’ve been exploring ways to enhance the narrative in my GIS presentations. Recently, I started integrating interactive visualizations using tools like Tableau and QGIS, which have really helped in conveying complex spatial patterns more clearly. I’m curious if anyone else has strategies or tools they’re using to make their GIS data storytelling more impactful.

I’ve found that using story maps in ArcGIS Online adds a personal touch to my narratives. The interactivity really engages the audience! Have you tried that too? :bar_chart:.

Using QGIS for mapping is great! I’ve had success pairing it with storytelling tools like Adobe Spark to add context. Have you explored that combo? :bar_chart:.

I recently started using immersive storytelling in my GIS presentations by incorporating 3D visualizations with tools like CesiumJS. It really adds an engaging layer to the narrative and helps in showcasing spatial relationships. How have you found the balance between simplicity and detail in your interactive visualizations?
